There are two options available- a standard resume and curriculum vitae, which means ‘course of one’s life’. A resume is generally preferred by professionals looking for back office operations or administrative jobs in the healthcare organization. Reverse chronological resumes are recommended for those looking for a management position, since the skills and experience of the candidate can be compared along with the organization’s needs. Back office operations include accounting, MIS, purchasing, and plant operations, and these are open to candidates from other industries so long as they meet the requirements.
On the other hand, curriculum vitae or CVs are preferred for those who are looking for an academic, scientific, or medical position. They have a general tone of modesty, showing the skills and credentials of the employee but not boasting about them. Typically, a CV will include headings like education, professional experience, internships, publications, awards and honors, speaking engagements, and professional affiliations.
